Per a Chiefs message board, it was because the refs called Toney offsides and then the very next play, Von miller jumped and wasn't called offsides. NBC just said Mahomes would be on during the SNF game to talk about it.
Ok it's exactly what I said. Machines said he's been with the NFL 7 years and has never seen offsides called on the offense. An expert officiant was in the studio and said it's been called 11 times this year. He also showed how Toney was lined up and said the refs got it right.
