This has been going on for years before McVay.

There was a game years ago where Steve Bartkowski hit Alfred Jackson for a 50 yard TD on 4th and 11 with seconds left in the game.

There was also a game against the Patriots where the Rams took a late lead and got beaten on a Tony Eason Hail Mary pass to Irving Fryar.

Ugh!!! I was in college at UMass watching the game in the dorm lounge PACKED with Patriot fans, wearing my Eric Dickerson jersey. When Eason hit Fryar for the game winner, the room EXPLODED with screams of elation. It was HORRIBLE!

For the record, you folks think Niners fans are insufferable? Trust me, Pats fans are the absolute worst.

At one point back then, I actually had a group of Pats fans tell me Andre Tippett was just as good as Lawrence Taylor LOL! Can only imagine what it was like up there when Pats were winning all those SBs!
