I was there as well. I've been going to Anaheim Stadium since 1970 and I'd never seen or heard the crowd as electric as on that day. In the 4th I went to get a beer but stopped at the tunnel to watch another play. It was Everett's 3rd TD; a bullet over the middle right to Ellard. My seats were above the end zone where Fryer caught that "Hail Mary" from Eason but that corner of the end zone wasn't visible from there. I didn't know what happened until they all started celebrating. Yes it was an "L" but knowing the Rams FINALLY had a QB made it much easier to take. Losing to the 49ers on MNF in '89 was the worst loss I remember.
The Lakers game was thrilling as well. After blowing a big lead Magic hit a runner in the lane at the buzzer to avoid OT. What a day!
Gotta love the price on the Lakers ticket, $9.50! The Rams tickets were $21 that year.
