You made some good points. I was thinking the Rams would offer their first to a team that wanted to move up and had a couple of guys who could play left tackle, sort of like how Pitt. gave up on Dotson. But yeah, you've got to get lucky to find a good LT available.
Or, why not offer Jackson and a 1st for a top LT?
I trust the Rams to get this right. Imagine if they do hit on a LT early though and without moving Jackson. Then you have:
ROOK / Avila / FA C / Jackson / Havenstein
Even if they don't add a FA at the Center spot (there's a few guys better than Shelton I think) and they stick with Shelton that is potentially a really good OL. But I think that Dolphins Center would be great because if the Rams end up drafting a QB high in 2025 then the OL is in place for him with a pivot who can help him with calls.
