Fair question Ferragamo. Remember AJ was an UDFA but from a good college program. He also played well but got the blood clot issue.
My guess is he has been working through things (a la Havs in the past) that aren't being publicized. The reason I say that is because of the way McVay singles him out in the post-game victory speech and the ABSOLUTE ROAR of the team when he gets a game ball and the body language of the players. It was like they all "knew" what he had been dealing with . . . speculation on my part but we got more games, starting this Sunday to find out his role.
That said, I agree with LMU93 that he has proven to be a valuable piece of the formula - whether it is where he is at, or at some other position on the line or swing Tackle.
