Here's an example of the point I'm trying to make (and I would really like to hear your take on it):

I was watching a Chiefs game a couple of years ago; I don't remember who they were playing. At any rate, the score was close and the opposing team had the ball around mid-field.

The quarterback missed a WR on 3rd down on like a 7-8 yard out route; the ball was put low and behind him.

The announcer went on and on like, "Bad throw! Too low! This is where you HAVE to make those plays." Blah, freaking blah.

The offense punts and on the next series, Mahomes rolls out and takes a deep shot but he way overthrows a wide open WR and the safety gets over the top and picks it off. As the camera shows Mahomes walking off the field, the guys in the booth are just quiet, I mean they say nothing.

Finally, the commentator says something like, "You know what? He (Mahomes) can throw the ball a mile! I mean he threw that ball about 60 yards while he was running towards the sideline! Incredible."

Yes, it was. It was an incredible example of a double standard if you ask me.
