But ... if we draft an OLT now, we've done two things. We've extended Stafford's career (likelihood) by building a serious O line (especially if we add an OC) and we've made O line a team strength with continuity for whoever does take over for Stafford.
That said, I'm starting to believe that Ewers and even McCarthy will go back to school (along with Riley Leonard) ... leaving the top 2 ... then a bunch of 24-25 year olds. I feel like Jayden Daniels will go first ... but one of Nix or Penix might slide to the second.
Maybe not, but I'm not as worried.
That said, I am NOT trusting Stetson Bennett as our backup. Grabbing Tannehill might be an answer, or Josh Dobbs .. even Baker if he's not extended. I'm still likely to look at drafting Spencer Rattler in the 5th.

Yeah, if the QB class sorta evaporates then it changes the dynamics of this decision. Depends on which LOTs might still be available when Rams pick, too. So many moving parts.
