Always good to ponder your fine posts, Alyo
Saturday games have looked far more stableAgree on of this notion. Defenses are using a lot the new schemes in the Pros, and perhaps it's disruptive. There's some messy play in general that just isn't entertaining.
Just getting it out of my blood, but I get strategy. Score the TD, and force them to go the length of the field. If Stafford completes to Puka the clock rolls. It's a short plow into paydirt from there. Also, Henderson cut inside and the gap on the screen was straight upfield. HIs mistake, and may even led to his cut.
Eyes upstairs could see Geno looking to come back in. The club went to four safeties on the field there, and it was working. John Johnson isn't the same guy he used to be.
Being 7-10 and just missing might mean we draft 9th or 10th. That's a huge jump. All true.
6) Overall run defense.I thought so. They did a fine job of making Lock nervous, too.
9) an end around to Puka.Favorite play of the day. That was all him. Lowered that painfully shoulder and hammered out a stick moving grueler there.
9) Kupp not redirecting for that TD.A rare moment. The 2 drops that he had to open the Steeler game seem to start a dark trend, huh?
Matt clobbered.
Listen. The guy got garroted. Organs popping out of his back when he was totally gutted. Convinced he was gone for the season. The guy is a warrior. Came out and led them to victory. He had a couple of ridiculous plays. An exceptional pass to Puka was a piece of brillance. It doesn't take long with him out of game, as we've seen, to see just how amazing he is. All the QBs off the bench of been a disaster. Still can't believe that Wentz didn't have to come in the game.
College and DraftThe issue is complex because there is no OLT in Free Agency that will likely drastically outplay Jackson. But there are 3 first year players in the draft and likely another 3 that will need a year in the weight room. Knowing that adjusts my strategy.
See, that right there is a great insight. Just a guess. Since they already invested in Avila, I would venture that they'll go a different direction with their early draft stock than choosing OL. Not to say they won't select more help for the OL, just as of now, there's other talent to consider.
I'd take Daniels, as he's grown so much. This will be a growing question. Will the club signal the end of the Stafford era with a high QB selection?
I'd say no.
I think they'll avoid the distraction. However, Daniels is certainly making impressions.
Unless we can get Drake Maye, I'm taking an OTYeah. While, you've made a case for the OT, I think if they can't get the talent they want due to where they land on the board, I can see Snead busting a move.
I think we buy an edge and a CB.Agree. Witherspoon is on a one year deal.
BTW, I think they just have to sign Dotson. Snead made the wise move, and got the guy. He's been huge asset.
I think they'll buy 2 DL types.
Safety is a high quality classRecently, I've been alarmed at the lack fill from the LBs, but maybe it's that box safety I'm missing.
22) RB. Henderson, Sanders, and Allen ... Corum.Tre Benson, Tajh Brooks, Rasheem Ali, Ray Davis, Marshawn Floyd, Audric Estime, Will Shipley, Dennis Johnson, even Frank Gore Jr.This is where Fisher still has a silver lining. Aaron Donald, and Todd Gurley. The contract on Gurley is one that McVay never, ever wants to see again. It's also might be a problem when considering the top of the board, and RB. Sean's distaste for using $$ or picks high for RB relate to the short shelf life of position. If not this year, then next I'd to get a certified beast.
25) Seems like there are players that can be had late that will fit our system better than they may in their own. Not sure who we'll like, but I'd like to get Gaines back and then grab some more youth.
It's a great point. Watching some of theses kids with talent suffer seems more scheme related than talent related?
