And that's the thing, isn't it? This secondary has played surprisingly well for much of the season. Maybe a little over their head, but they've gotten it done. Until the face masks and penalties by #1, that is.
It wasn't all him last week, or even the week before, but Kendrick has by far been the anchor on the secondary, and that can't be denied by even the most apologetic fans. I'd rather see a replacement get burned than us give up the yardage than we have had through penalties.
I don't know that Tre is the answer, either. The penalties are what has to go down, and I don't know that he would help in that department.
