Well the INCONVENIENT FACT for the "McVay fan-boy crowd" is what was McGenius thinking to put himself in the position to have to even consider, much less try, signing Wolford again?
Kind of makes makes the McVay critic's point for them no?

What if he was told Stafford is likely only out this week and back after the bye? Can't blame the guy for not taking a one game gig across the country and then not knowing if/where he'll have a roster spot after that.
That wouldn't fit the narrative that Wolford didn't want to play for the evil McVay.
IMO, Wolford did not want to leave Florida for personal reasons and was elevated to the active roster. I am sure family played a part and also figuring it wasn't worth starting one game for an offense that is different when he left it to a degree.
Supposedly Minnestota was sniffing around as well. It sounds to me like his agent went to Tampa and said "We've got two offers to join an active roster, promote my boy or he's gone." Tampa didn't want to lose him and made the move.
Lucky for Minnesota...unlucky for Tampa if they ever have to really depend on the Wolf! lol
You might be right about your scenario but no matter what the perceived "narrative" is for some people, the Wolf sucked when he was here and I am sure he sucks now too.
Narrative-schmarrative. If the Wolf plays for anyone as their starter, their season is over and they might lose a WR or three as well thanks to the Wolf. lol
I am not a part of the not wanting to play for the "evil McVay" crowd narrative. I am a part of the WTH was McVay thinking in wanting this scrub back in broken horns again narrative?!?!?!
