It's not our job to figure that out for them and do the work on behalf of a highly paid and experienced Rams front office.
Surely there are other up and coming coaching options. I imagine there are definitely better OCs/play-callers available at this point. The league certainly seems to have figured out McVay's offensive scheme/game-planning tendencies and McVay has been unable to adjust to them even with well above average talent on offense.
However, look at the past two years for plenty of evidence for questioning McVay. It's obvious.
Heck, for two years in a row McVay was not sure if he even wanted to coach any further. Will he be revisiting those thoughts again this year for a 3rd straight time after consecutive terrible years?
I may be okay with McVay remaining as the head coach but he should seriously consider replacing himself as the OC/play-caller? I imagine he will resist that to the bitter end. We'll see how McVay responds the 2nd half of what is now looking like another losing year destined for player development and draft positioning.

He's a proven talent and a bright mind and took a terrible franchise to the playoffs and 2 super bowls. He's also young and has a passion for the game. What unproven assistant or retread coach who's free would you prefer?
After the coaching sh8t show this team has endured since the 90's I can't, for the life of me, understand why some of you want to ride him out of town. Eerily similar to Martz rhetoric. That worked out great, right?
