Last season…in all that madness…he played, started, and took 1,019 snaps…
This guy has been a rock…the 21st century version of John Williams…unheralded, little notoriety, but always there.
This got me thinking about Rams right tackles...
Charlie Cowan 1965-1968 RT Pro Bowl
...and then he moved to LT to make room for future Hall of Famer Bob Brown.
Brown played at an all-pro level for the Rams in both 1969 and 1970...
Then we got two thin years from Harry Schuh...
But in 1973, John Williams comes over from Baltimore...and starts every game from 1973-thru-1978
And Williams ultimately loses his job to a guy named Jackie Slater...
After Slater there was a revolving door...until Havenstein arrived from Wisconsin in 2015.
