Won't be a popular opinion, but...
If I can get similar compensation that Green Bay got for Rodgers, I'd trade Stafford in a heartbeat. What I'm seeing coming out of Denver with Russell Wilson really has me spooked. Pete Carroll saw it and cut him loose probably thinking that Wilson had one good year in him...maybe.
I see what Shannihan is doing with a strong defense and Mr. Irrelevant at QB and don't see a reason why we couldn't do the same with 1st round talent.
With two 1st's and two 2nd's, I could easily see us getting: a QB for the future (who is ready to compete today); a starter at Edge; and, a starter at LT - all cost controlled for a few seasons. Haven't even touched on what we could do in FA with the extra cash.
