McVay is a good to great head coach with some huge flaws.
As a playcaller, he gets emotional and outsmarts himself at times (see empty set call to start the second half). He refuses to give up play calling duties and, even more surprising, continues to believe that his scheme can beat anyone at any time as long as the players execute.
Commitment to 11 personnel year over year is something I don't understand. I'm not a DC but I suspect its easy to game plan when you know a team is running one specific offensive alignment every play. Poor use of motion. TE's rarely used in the passing game.
