When you are running the ball well, you should not let the D off the hook by playing empty backfield. Always make them look for the run. ALWAYS. Even if you are in shot gun. Put the back next to the QB. If our run game doesn't work or you need to score a quick TD at the end of the game or half. Different story. It is stupid stupid stupid.
