Les likes to take shots on upside and accept some risk and it probably felt ok to do it where they did it, but the problem is you keep the guy on the roster like he's a future diamond but then you NEED him to produce and guess what... He isn't ready to do the job.
So now we have a talented RB who was beaten out by lesser talents at two teams in college, who had red flags in how he handled things with the TCU staff, and we have to bring in a former cut to do the job because he isn't ready.
Sounds familiar to have depth that cannot do the job doesn't it. Well that's because the way Les Snead has stacked this roster for basically the entirety of his tenure as our GM the depth spots have been incapable of stepping up and doing the job.
And btw he had a great draft in 2023. But this is something he needs to un-F. Because the RB position is killing this offense, as it does every stinking season. Every season I rant about this and honestly I am beyond tired of it.
