I would assume Zane Gonzalez would be one as he kicked for Blackburn in Carolina. Problem with Zane is, his injury history, his kicking has been solid. A couple of younger kickers available on practice squads, but I think the Rams want a veteran here and Gonzalez is still only 28 so if the injury bug is gone, he might be a viable option.
We had a vet in Gay and have gone with the youth movement everywhere else so why not kicker too?
IMO, Maher has been "shaky" all season. I would hope Snead was already on the phones and looking for others before this past game.
Maher doesn't look any better than he did when he played for Dallas. Unlike Gay who seemed to be better in LA from get go.
If our kicking game was important to McVay then we would have found a way to keep Gay.
With a team full of youth, I would've thought that keeping Gay would have been important. I guess not.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
