But the entire point is to be able to fight back. It is assumed the other guy will have a gun.
But, I also get it that it is just not in some folks DNA to fight back.
As a former LEO and current gun owner I agree that training is critical. However armed police officers are slain far too often now and many done so without having the opportunity to draw their weapon. The same goes for a trained citizen. If you are caught unaware by an armed person with a gun pointed at you, your chance of drawing like a gunfighter without being shot first is virtually nil. It has nothing to do with an unwillingness to fight back, just the recognition that you have a choice to make.
