When there's an information vacuum people will speculate

Of all the possibilities of the mysterious matter of Stetson Bennett, alcoholism treatment is easily the best.
The way for the Rams to stop this is simply to say what it is. Or for Bennett or his agent to say.

Until then, people (like me) will speculate. And my guess is that this is the issue.
So far as I know, no one here has been judgmental about it.
