I kinda sorta silently walked away from the Rams when Gregg Williams was here.
I don't want to do the same thing with Schwartz. I wonder what Stafford would (candidly, anonymity protected) would have to say about him.
The Eagles D looked pretty good to me - hard-hitting, no egregious dirty or cheap shots, no glaring penalties. They were well-disciplined and didn't muff too many asignments. Their DC? (Who's that?) Sean Desai.
I think, if the Rams comb the coaching ranks, they can find another Sean Desai out there who deserves a shot, is a proven commodity, and fits the Rms culture I don't see how Schwartz could.
I understand not liking a particular coach, I am not advocating for the man himself per-se more the style of defense, sort of how you don't need Fangio you can get an elite disciple like Staley. If Schwartz is dirty then we don't need him, it's not the dirtyness that makes his D's effective against the 9er's it is how it works against it. I want to incorporate anything that can help us beat the Niners is all. A coach that understands what makes the Schwartz defense tick especially against the Shanny offense and pass those secrets on to us.
