Question: who's doing the talking?
One would assume he meant that their opponent aligned in a manner that was unfavorable for the runs he called. I'd like to be shown exactly what alignments he meant if that was the case.
I'm speculating now. Did Stafford check out of runs? Were assistants recommending coverage holes?
The point is, he was being obtuse for a reason. He didn't say "I" got talked out of runs. It's probably not constructive to pull this thread. But I'm personally curious.
