I guess I'm left asking:
What do we expect from AI?
Somebody has to program it, so despite its supposed infallability we're still left with human error - but without a human soul. Pass.
Give me a cretive human being who knows football and appreciates the tradition of the team.
Better yet:Selet a fan and player committee and let them "design" the uniforms!
What a PR move! Select fans to participate! Get the long-time attendees who have a heart-wrenching or inspiring story to tell, and let them sit with players, alumni players like Jack Youngblood, and some designers who could interpret their input and make a uniform out of it.
Put everybody up in a nice hotel, meet in the hotel's conference rooms, feed 'em, give 'em a tour of Rams facilities, the whole nine yards.
Bring cameras and mike everybody up, interviw the individuals, edit the footage, make a big dramatic deal out of it and use it to liven up pre-season, give the fans a treat, and promote the brand. Through the season keep pumping up the linkage - give the fans a sense of ownership in the team - it couldn't hurt ticket or jersey sales.
I doubt that such a group would come up with anything stupid. At least with Youngblood present, we'd get the horns back.
I think many of us have said the exact same thing mt but Demoff thought he knew better. Unfortunately he didn't and now we end up with a so called horn that is supposed to resemble an ocean wave and new color that is supposed to resemble sand. Demoff even thought throwing out the "Fibonacci sequence" would make him look super intelligent but it did just the opposite. lol
Nobody gives a crap about Fibonacci, the waves or the sand. We care about the Rams but Demoff wanted to take the "Ram" out of the Los Angeles Rams and just call us Los Angeles. IMO, Demoff though making the "city" the focal point was more important than the TEAM history/identity.
Getting the fans and ex players involved would've been the right way to do it. We all know that. Sometimes one persons ego can really mess things up...and it did! lol
And I don't buy into the "well, we won a SB in the new ones so they're good enough for me" stuff. The SB win was great but the uni's...not so much.
I am glad some people like them though. They just haven't grown on me yet. lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
