You think reporters and people liked Lombardi, Parcells, or Chuck Noll? Terry Bradshaw still talks about how he and Noll had discourse & Phil Simms about Parcells. The adage "Show me a team that likes their coach and I will show you a losing team.." Things have changed over the years as Coaches you can get just as much out of a player with encouragement & direction then yelling & screaming.
Fact is Kyle Shanahan wins, Rams have trouble beating him, although they did it, when it mattered most, but he still keeps winning. Hopefully he is their version of Chuck Knox, but Shanahan is one hell of a play caller and IMO, he is a better play caller then McVay, but the players love McVay's style, however, you never hear about burnout with Shanahan.
