...I was watching Colin Cowherd yesterday and he said something about the Rams and Johnathan Taylor as a little tease at the end of the show.
I am not stating this as fact, but could he be to the Rams what CMC is for SF?
I think Taylor would make the run game more dangerous. McVay might call more runs if he had him too. Also Taylor is better than he's given cred for in the pass game and he speaks WCO so he'd be plug and play in rotation with Williams and probably end up as the starter with Williams in a supplementary role.
I'd like to see us add Taylor provided the cost is reasonable. Which means no first rounder. I'd be willing to use our second rounder since right now it seems like it'll be a latter half of round 2 pick. But they need to weigh what they get on the field this year from him vs this upcoming class. So I'm not beating the drum for him or anything since I think waiting and drafting another back next year might be the wiser choice.
But Taylor does make sense for us. If for example we feel like we're going to be in the playoffs then a trade makes more sense. Taylor would make us stronger vs top defenses you're gonna see in that one and done environment and unlike an edge rusher his price should not require a first round pick.
