I mean, look guys, we have played 3 games so far this season.
Game 1 vs 2022 Playoff team - Big win
Game 2 vs 2022 NFC Championship team - Lost by 7, could have won with a few different bounces. Competitive with a team that is roundly consider one of the best in the league.
Game 3 vs 2022 AFC Championship team - Lost by 3, with one TD taken away by an instant replay that did NOT use "indisputable visual evidence."
Our defense is AD, Ernest Jones and a BUNCH OF rookies and young players. And they are playing pretty dang good against some really good teams. As young as this defense is, they should just get better every week barring injuries.
Could we have beaten Cincy with some better coaching decisions? Probably. OK yes. But overall, I think this year's team is EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS, especially when given the NFL's hardest schedule through the first 5 weeks.
Given our schedule and roster, 1-2 was a realistic start. Let's just keep getting better every week.
I am still enthusiastic about this season, and what all of these young players will mean going forward.
