And this, as at times in the past, has been a major weakness. I've enjoyed watching McVay grow, and he's not done yet. But he still makes "young man" mistakes, and right now that looks like pride and arrogance. I don't ever see him giving up the play calling, but he should. Or his staff should have more power in giving him advice.
We lost last night for a reason, not a couple of bad ball bounces. If that bothers you, then continue to avert your eyes. But the absence of a run game wasn't because the Bengals took it away. McVay did. I can't believe it was at the direction or blessing of the OC. If he had more input, we might have had a different result.
