Down two OL, pressure is killing Stafford, conventional wisdom leads a coach to focus on the run and then try to build a passing attack via playaction. McVay continued to run wide open sets while his left tackle was getting beat like a drum. When this team falls behind (even by a small margin) it seems his brain says "pass, pass, pass".
He's done this before, he'll do it again. It's the other side of the coin with him, one side is a brilliant guy that brought this franchise a SB. Martz did much the same type of thing. Sorry, but in my opinion the Rams should have won this one by 10-14 points, and they would have with balanced offense reminiscent of week 1.
