So Matthew is washed up, the O-Line has nothing.....You think getting a QB picking #1 will solve everything? we will be exciting with that? Who are you going to keep from the team as it is? What player who is willing to slack off now would you trust in years to come when a tough series of games come along?
You still have not told me how a team tanks....do they make mistakes on purpose, do they just go through the motions? Do they purposely drop passes, or stand still as the D-Line attacks? IMO just the idea/meaning of tanking is crazy.....it's the antithesis of the idea of the game/sportsmanship.....
How do you tell rookies to the league....."Listen we need to get so and so next year in the draft. To do that I need all of you to kinda tone down your enthusiasm, don't worry yourself about losing, just don't do anything that might give us wins...We need to be exciting in 2024...."
These are all needed learning experiences for a young team. Now bad play calling isn't necessary for sure, Coach has a tendency to do this, he isn't going to change that....he either over thinks situations, or he.....heck I don't have a clue why he does it.....
Tanking IMO is a term coined by some writer that caught on to the fans as a means of soothing the misery of a loss and thinking of how rosy this bad thing can become. It's IMO nonsense. A team that tanks should not be rewarded with a top pick, ....IMO they should be penalized to the utmost.....It ruins the fabric of the game, it makes people think of rigging.....cheating....
