Re: NFL's dumbest rule strikes again

Well, it is a fumble, so I think change of possession is justifiable. The rule has just seemed so harsh because it happens as the possession team is about to score a TD and then WHAM, a turnover and the ball is spotted at the 20. But I don't think it's fair either for the possession team to just get the ball back at the one yard line, like the fumble never happened. That seems overly generous. So as much as the rule may suck, I don't see it going anywhere.
