That's why they call it a game......That's why you play the game.
I remember over the 25+ years I coached HS Football out here in Southern California. I got to the point when I would simply COACH and just let the players play. Why? Because there were teams that I thought would crush it and be great, but they made mistakes, turned the ball over and simply lost games.
Then, there were teams that were not as talented, but played TOGETHER as a TEAM and got to the playoffs and in some pretty deep runs in CIF.
Bottom line.....I know that for all those games I coached, I NEVER went to the game thinking OMG I hope we win today. I just knew that the team that played better that day, didn't turn the ball over and give away points to the other team would have a BETTER CHANCE to WIN the game that day.
