We follow these players and their promise from the moment they are drafted by the Rams. We debate their potential and measure it against their progress. But at the end of the day, it simply comes down to production. We have signed so few players to second contracts for a reason. Money is one, yes. But it's also been easy to replace most of the guys we've lost because the production wasn't so great it was irreplaceable. Van absolutely fits in this dynamic and won't earn, nor deserves a second contract. Good kid. Lots of potential. He'll get another opportunity elsewhere.
