Bennett's Georgia team beats last night's Rams. Much better talent and years of working together in a terrific scheme. Georgia's starters
We're drafted all over the NFL. Many of the offensive players in Rams' uniforms were late picks or undrafted FAs. Total depth OL with Guys like Acuri playing LT. And exactly who did he have as weapons? And did they run the right patterns? And who was picking up blitzes?
Last night actually gives us no indication whatsoever as to the future of SB.
If this game was real he would be coming in for an injured Stafford and would have our starting 5 OL blocking. He would be running real plays. He could handoff to Akers. He could hit Higbee, he could play catch with CK. He could launch a bomb to Tutu. Actual, NFL players and schemes.
And comparing his performance last night with his first one is also silly. The first time around he had some #2 players on the field with him.
He received more protection. He had better receivers. And the Broncos were fired up. Their new HC was out for blood like it was a playoff game. And the Broncos have defensive depth.
Their 2's and 3's could start on other teams.
I'm not excusing his game, because it was tragic. I'm glad they pulled him to keep him whole. But, I won't panic about his being our backup QB. If the worst happens I think he will keep us afloat.
