IMO, regardless of Aaron Donald and Ernest Jones being on the field, I think that our defense is in line for a season's worth of struggle - especially on the DL where I think that we're undersized, lacking experience and compromised versus the run.
If we're to be competitive (not necessarily winning...but competitive) this year, I think that it's paramount that our offense gets off to a fast start - especially our rushing attack to play a little ball control.
But it's still unclear to me who our center and RG will be and how well the unit will work cohesively Week 1. I mean...we all remember the disaster a healthy OL was at the start of last year against Buffalo, right?
Additionally, Stafford hasn't played (and been hit) in awhile now. I suspect that he'd like to knock some rust off in real game conditions by tossing a pass or two to VJeff and Higby.
We need to be sharp out of the gates.
