So in relation to your question...Cover 6 is Cover-2 one side, Cover -4 the other
so it has the weakness and strength of both...

it's match zone, becomes man right after snap
is numbers---there is always a 3 receiver side
and a 2 receiver side
Cover-6 gives you a numbers advantage on both sides

of course, if there are motions...the 3rd receiver on one
side motions to the other, the defense can audible
and change the sides of the coverage. They can do this
because they are in the Cov-2/4 shell. They could also
audible to Cover-4, or Cover-2 or rotate to Cover-3
because the line up the same everytime the creativity
of Fangio's scheme comes after the snap.
With old school stuff--they show one coverage and play
another...they disguise it that way. Fangio disguises
it by not tipping his hand. He can play anything but
offense does not know until after ball is snapped.
like all these a 4-man rush is needed...it's vital to any scheme
