If I were a GM for another team, I'd take a lo-o-o-ng critical look at this factor. Has he truly matured, and despite the accolades about his positive energy vibe from McVay (and that, with shielded reservation i,e, when he gets it right) is he ready to be a hardworking and loyal member of a TEAM? Will he do whatever he is asked or assigned that will help the team win? Or is he still what he appeared to be when he quit on a team in crisis, mid-season, over a difference in the way he was coached and the way he wanted to be coached?

Two things: Snead/McVay will have a tough sell getting rid of him for anything close to what would otherwise be his value - couldn't do it last year, and won't be able to do it this year even if his turnaround is genuine. You can't unring the bell, and unfortunately for Cam, like all the rest of us - you have to live with your past mistakes.

Second,at this point that leaves Cam's future squarely in the hands of the Rams, for whatever they want to pay him. I don't know who his agent is, but I would imagine it's the same guy who either engineered or went along with last year's sit-down strike or walkout, whichever you want to call it. A good agent, interested in the young man's future, would have prevented it. It appears that Cam is poorly represented and has piddled away his value and with it his leverage. It will be hard to recover that in one season where everything is rosy.

All that said I hope he matures/has matured beyond his early mistake. Sometimes the hardest-learned lessons are the most valuable ones in time. (And don't ask how I know that )
