Ummm....what? Did anyone else actually read not only this article, but the link to what Martz said? He calls McVay's background vastly different from Shanny's. Is he senile? I'm serious. He said someone like LaFluer could've helped McVay know what to do with a five man front in the lost Super Bowl v the Pats 4 1/2 years ago when Zac Taylor was the QB coach. I guess the implication is that the younger LaFluer who worked w Shanny knows more about the offense than his older brother (who was Sean's OC in 17) and Zac Taylor...though ALL of them have worked in the same system with their own flavor for years.
I'm glad Mike likes Mike. But the notion that ML is here to teach Sean "insider info" is preposterous, asinine, and just bewildering. It is because they speak the same language and respect each other's acumen that makes this a fit.
