That said, and to kick it along further, it's plausible if Avila can play any interior position, and could play RT well enough to be both a pass protector
and road-grader beside Havs, to put him at RG
if a good LG can be found in the mix. We have plenty of players. The trick, obviously, is to find the best two for the guard positions.
Sooo... if there's a LG candidate who simply cannot play RG, as may be the case with Anchrum, then I could see it - but I'd rather, given what I've seen on tape, install Avila at LG and build around him. RG is the more unsettled position.We have Havs, one of two potential LT's, two experienced centers who know the offense, and several potential candidates for RG - before we get to Bruss.
And that latter observation doesn't speak well for his recovery from serious injury, his performance before, or his potential since. My own sinking-stomach foreboding is that Bruss may never be the starting right guard he drafted to become. No news, i\n this case, to me is not good news.
