Now, Kendrick gets exposed as having a lack of NFL speed in his rookie year (4.87 SECS), not good. I'm not sure if he can improve his speed or not but it's not a good sign moving forward.
Because the lack of speed, he had to give the WR far too much room and as the season went on, Kendrick confidence degraded to the point where he was not even being aggressive with his tackling. The game against the Broncos was a good example, when he did not close on the WR and not only gave up the reception, but did not even attempt a tackle allowing the WR to go out of bounds stopping the clock with a few seconds left in the half, leading to a FG. He lost me totally at that point.
