1. Although Tampa played a 4-3 Defense, I recall Tampa's DLInemen back in the day being a bunch of high motor type of players and not necessarily the biggest guys (when in shape) that one would typically see in the league.

Tampa played a 4-3 defense...that was a one-gape scheme. Each guy, 4 lineman, 3 Lber had a gap
they'd fight through it, playing pass, reacting to see if the play was a run.
A react then read defense2. I think Brown III is an athletic-high motor type. But yes, again, I think you are right. Rams don't have 330- pound monsters
they look like they have 280-290-300 pounders, though not tall guys are athletic.
3. On passing downs they will do a lot of stunts, and have been trying to free Donald, and so on. But here, I think
they won't do what I think you are suggesting---play like Tampa did in the day.
Rams play a gap and a half scheme . . not a one-gap scheme, though not as severe as a two gap
read then react defensethe Fangio scheme is in-between, they penetrate only so far then read, they try and help the guy in the next gap.
The 49ers play something like the Bucs did- that penetrating one-gap scheme on run downs.
On passing downs, most teams use very similar things, most teams, even 3-4 teams go to a 4-man line and
run all sorts of stunts . . . . it ma just be different guys doing it...maybe 2 DE and 2 DT or 2 OLBer and 2 DT.
