Author does not define roles, either

What is a #1 receiver? Most targets? Or a prototypical so-called #1
like Hopkins or Adams, someone who plays outside and on the line
and perhaps moves inside only somethings. A guy who is 6-2 to 6-4 and strong and fast

and then a #2? second-most targerts, or a flanker, a move guy

the #3, 3rd most targets? or your slot guy.

Rams have multiple roles . . . in general last year Robinson
was the X. But not always, they had a package where he
was in the bunch off the line.

In general the roles I would expect is Jefferson
as the X, outside, away from the bunch with Atwell
getting some snaps there. But of course, like last year
both can play Z and motion. Atwell in that role can
do jet action . . . fakes or carriers

Kupp will be Kupp, the slot receiver, but can also be
multiple roles.

The question is the Woods role---Skowronek or Nacua
probably will split that time or maybe one wins it over
the others

It wasn't until Stafford got here that the Rams had someone
who got huge amount of targets over the next guy.

Sometimes it was next and neck between the "#1" and "#2"

SO, while interchangeable, of course, I don't really see
a #3 kind of guy, I see a Kupp role )slot) pretty much defined
and a Woods role (flanker) and an X role (Robinson, OBJ0with
some exceptions, Cooks) defined...I see Jefferson in the X
up in the air for the Z and Kupp in the ZE (slot)
but lots of rotating for everyone except Kupp
