And still played a soft style. Rams are simply gonna try to outscore the other guys. Besides, I'm sure the Rams will pick up some cast offs this Summer.
I look for a MASSIVE retool of the D after AD leaves.
Not liking that Ultra Soft Zone that Morris runs might but you in the Morris hater category. lol
Anyway, I agree. Does it really matter who the DB's are when they are lined up 10 yards off the LOS and coached to keep everything in front of them? How much talent do you really need to run a Ultra Soft Prevent Defense?
McVay did bring in Pleasant and Lake for a reason. It wasn't Morris's idea to fire his guys. So McVay must have seen something about the D he didn't like.
I am hoping both new coaches can make a difference and add a little "creativity" to our defensive scheme and maybe a little "toughness" too. Something we haven't seen in a while.
I know there isn't much "teaching" that goes on anymore due to the limited practice time allowed but can someone actually teach our guys how to tackle? Please?
As for the "massive retool", that already happened. lol
Question, do you think AD will want to stay playing on a D that will not put him in the best position to be great and might rank near the bottom of the NFL too? Is this how AD wants to go out or will he want a trade to a winner?
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
