This is the problem I have with this team. They had a rare opportunity to get a guy like Branch, who was highly regarded by just about everybody, but had slid, for whatever reason. But instead of being flexible and adjusting, it seems clear to me that they had this player as a key target well before the draft and were going to take him regardless of what else happened. That can't be proven, of course, but rarely do you see this team snag a highly rated player unexpectedly that falls, like Branch. Ravens are a team that shows the kind of flexibility to take advantage of other teams' mistakes, but this bunch never does. They simply make a list of their targets and take them come hell or high water. I think most would agree that the Ravens are far better at drafting than the Rams are and this is one of the reasons why, IMO.
