That draft..... one of the two bodges

May 02, 2023 06:13AM
From trading Dickerson....

I remember studying my hard come by draft preview magazine (family friend posted to UK) and falling in love with few players I wanted to really see in horns...

I personally hoped they could swing a trade up for Sterling Sharpe who I liked more than T Brown. But if not my draft hopes were,

WR A Miller
RB T Thurman
LB C Speilman
T Jumbo Elliot

!!!!
I would of lived that draft considering each their careers.

I seem to recall that John Robinson also wanted T Thomas.

Gadton Green, was super fast, but not much wiggle not powerful and sub 200lbs I seem to remember.

A Cox, I hadn't seen, but flipper I had and loved that pick.

JimYoungblood5343May 02, 2023 10:12AM

I'm not sure if Thurman Thomas would have helped either.

You nailed it. He wasn't even a football fan. He loved St.L Cardinals

JimYoungblood5339May 02, 2023 10:15AM

He asked Greg Bell who was best RB--said Thurman, Rams took Gaston

JimYoungblood5340May 02, 2023 10:17AM

I REALLY REALLY wish the Rams had hung on to Bell and Holohan while retooling.
