Literally and figuratively. I don't see either Copeland or Brown filling those roles. I mostly watch Big Ten football, so I've seen Mazi Smith from Michigan play a bit. He is a big man that looks like he can help versus the run game. So does Siaki Ika out of Baylor, although I only watched parts of a couple of Baylor games last year. Either would be nice fits in the 3rd round (possibly 4th).
Yeah I agree they're gonna have someone with some serious size to him on their hotlist and position for him. Doubt it's Mazi but I would welcome him for sure. There will be someone at some point maybe later on but they'll add some beef I think.
But I'm also thinking that might be applied at Edge. The bigger types who set a physical edge are generally going to be available where we pick too. Guys like Tuli, Hall, who have been nicely evaluated by the board draftniks, they seem to fit that. Also with the bigger guys is the weight question. I mean we can watch their film and think "well he doesn't have enough juice off that edge" but what will that larger edge type be in a pro regimen with a tightly restricted playing weight. Maybe much more explosive and effective.
So idk. Not sure what we do if Ojulari is there. Take him I'd imagine, and use him as a third down type at the very least as a rush specialist. But I get the feeling we're gonna see them opt for size and physicality at Edge to help shut down divisional run games.
