Not sure I agree with the "great" part 43

Our OL doesn't look like it is going to be scaring anyone and will struggle opening holes for you. We might even have to make Tutu stay in and block some for you too so that might help. lol

Now add in the fact our WR's aren't scaring anyone either this year, defenses will be geared to stop the run and will double up Kupp on the backend to make your job even harder.

Lastly, we only have 1 good defensive player left in AD after gutting the entire defensive unit so teams should be able to score almost at will meaning we might be needing to pass the ball a LOT trying to come from behind and abandoning the run game.

I know this is your contract year and since nobody wanted you last year, you will have to make your success happen on your own.

After all, Akers DID look great in those last 5 games behind a patchwork OL. Sooooo…

He looked ok to me the last few games. Not great. I will reserve that word for way better performances than what I saw from Cam since he's been here.

Now, I will say that he looked "great" in comparison to how he looked earlier in the season but that's because he didn't look very good up to that point.

The man also wanted out and quit on his team for whatever reason(s). He just isn't good enough to demand all that drama. How many teams were interested in him when we would've paid for them to TAKE him off our hands? 0.

In could very well be wrong about Cam, we will see how it goes.

What happens if Cam does play well this year?
What kind of money will he want?
Would/should we pay him?
Will he even want be here...again?

I am not a big fan of Cam Akers 43. IMO, we can better with a draft pick or FA. This is a rebuild year anyway with a crappy OL and all the other reasons I mentioned in the other post. I wish it wasn't true, but it is. I don't see Cam as Ram after this season so let's get some other RB's in here ASAP.

IMO, we need to "rebuild" the RB position too. I bet we see 2 maybe 3 new RB's brought in to compete this year. May the best man win!
