Steelers aren't exactly world beaters anymore and we all saw that AD was ready to call it this time last year. How he handled things with his "injury" told me that his head is not totally with the team and game like it used to be. To be quite honest, I'm surprised he's playing in 2023.
I don't see him going there just to be close to home.
IMO, AD isn't going there unless they offer him MAJOR $$$ to do it or they are a legit Superbowl contender. I don't see Pitt becoming a legit contender in just a year or two so they $$$ would be the only thing they could offer him to make him "want" to go there.
Gator, I too am surprised AD will be back knowing the defense has been "blown up" and it could be a struggle to win games. He might be on the field a LOT. lol
What the driving factor for him to return was something we can only assume.
Was it money? Would he have had to pay back anything by retiring?
Maybe he still has some fire left and has faith McVay can turn this around quickly?
Either way, I am glad he's back. I love me some AD! Maybe the best defensive player ever for our Rams!
We will need him to be a leader and take control of these young guys. Show them how to be Pro's. This is AD's defense now!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
