The defense is in deep trouble IMO.
I am hoping Lake and Pleasant being added to the defensive staff will help. Both are very good defensive minds and have a good track record to back them up.
If we can find a "diamond in the rough" or even better two or more we might be ok. Snead/McVay will have to hit on a few draft picks and UDFA's too.
One thing for sure is that we will have a lot of younger guys that will need to be "coached up" and put in the best positions for each to succeed scheme wise.
The defensive coaching staff will have their work cut out for them but I think that might be why Lake and Pleasant were brought in. I am not sure McVay was 100% happy with last year's staff or he wouldn't have made these changes IMO.
I think we will see a renewed energy on defense due to the new staff and new players too.
I could very easily see this as AD's last season here though regardless of the outcome. My guess is he will want to play for a legit contender to get another ring and of course...another payday.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
