Scouting Notes
Was moved all over the line of scrimmage to block wherever most necessary, showing great mobility and reliability.
Key blocker on many plays.
Keeps defenders in front of him using his long reach to its full potential.
Very big with great weight distribution and usage.
Easily passes off rushers and switches assignments.
One of the best run blockers in this class, despite the PFF grade.
Toughness, grit, and competitive nature are off the charts.
Short Summary
As you can see, I have no qualms with Steve Avila. He is one of the few prospects that I struggled to find a flaw for. As a result, he is a Top 10 player on my board. His high-end might not be as high as others at the top of my board, and his positional value is lower, but overall he is as polished, complete, and dominant a player as the rest of the blue-chippers.
