Does McVay resign. Let's say they are 1-4 or 1-5, does he resign before the record gets totally distorted? Many have and I could see it, then they name Raheem Morris as interim coach and it's a lost season and they have a great pick and new Head Coach to start over in 2024. With Lincoln Riley being at the top of their list.
Starting off at 1-4 seems unthinkable to me.
For one thing, assuming Stafford is healthy, I expect a top 15 OL, probably a little better.
Two good RB’s (one added in draft)
A potent WR corps that’s at least 4 deep.
A quality TE added via draft to pair with Higbee.
So, this should be a highly productive O this year.
Now, on D? They’re gonna have to work some magic via draft and with 3rd tier FA’s.
But I’m still seeing an 8-9 win season.
