If memory serves me, Kirk Cousins was the first player to have a fully guaranteed contract, no?
Watson got the same thing - only super-sized due to other contracts signed before his.
But I don't know why there's such a concern for Watson setting a standard. I mean...none of the FA QB's who have signed on with teams thus far this off-season (Geno Smith, Deek Carr, Daniel Jones, Jimmy G, Baker Mayfield) have received fully guaranteed contracts.
But guess what? Lamar Jackson wants one. God bless him. Thinking that Justin Herbert might want to have one too. And God bless him.
